The Mandalorian season 2 spoilers follow.

The Mandalorian's second season is chugging along, and in between all the fan-pleasing appearances from Ahsoka Tano, Bo Katan and Boba Fett, there's been some major developments regarding Baby Yoda/The Child.

First of all, we found out that his real name is Grogu, and that Ahsoka is refusing to train him in the ways of the Force because she senses a lot of fear in him and is concerned that all his hanging out with the violent Mando has given him a taste for violence that could lead him towards the Dark Side.

So with that plot point in progress, we asked Digital Spy readers if they thought the show would actually go through with it and have Baby Yoda start shooting lightning from his hands and choking people, with his first words likely being "Power! UN LIM UH TED POWAHHHHHHHHH!"

Perhaps unsurprisingly, given how safe the Disney Star Wars properties have played it so far, a whopping 75% of the 2,894 people who voted thought that Baby Yoda would stay on the Light Side, with 25% disagreeing.

We'll have to wait and see if our readers are right.

The latest episode of the show also featured a little Easter eggy reference to the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, which didn't take fans long to notice.

The Mandalorian season 1 is streaming now on Disney+. The first episode of season 2 launched globally on October 30, and new episodes follow every Friday.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and the entire Skywalker Saga are available on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K now, as well as on Disney+, while Rise of Skywalker is also on Sky Cinema Premiere and NOW TV.

In his time he's covered a host of live events, interviewed celebrities big and small and crowbarred a countless amount of great/awful (delete as appropriate) puns into articles.
