We've got an exclusive first look at Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight's new heist comedy Locked Down, starring Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Previously titled Lockdown, the heist comedy sees Linda (Hathaway) and Paxton (Ejiofor) stuck at home together when a mandatory lockdown is announced just as they decided to separate.

Living together obviously proves to be a challenge as a result, but fuelled by poetry and copious amounts of wine, they come up with a plan to attempt a high-risk, high-stakes heist at Harrods during lockdown that could well bring them closer together.

Locked Down is coming soon to cinemas in the UK and is set to launch on HBO Max in the US on January 14.

Written by Steven Knight and directed by Doug Liman, Locked Down filmed on location in the UK under strict protocols from September to October last year.

The movie also stars an incredible cast that includes Ben Stiller, Stephen Merchant, Lucy Boynton, Sir Ben Kingsley, Mindy Kaling, Mark Gatiss, Dulé Hill and Jazmyn Simon alongside Hathaway and Ejiofor.

Locked Down marks Hathaway and Kaling's second heist movie together following Ocean's 8 in 2018, but it's unclear what role Kaling (or any of the other cast) is playing in the movie aside from the two leads.

"The sheer act of making it, of doing something so collaborative and audacious made us all very focused and open — and strangely free," Hathaway told PEOPLE about the making of Locked Down.

"Like the odds were so against us anyway that it made me want to lean into the exhilaration and take risks with my performance.

"It was scary taking my mask off every day, and so I really appreciated how committed the crew was to keeping their masks on — even when we were shooting in hot rooms and they were carrying heavy camera and lighting equipment they were always, always masked. Their professionalism helped keep me safe, and I was and am incredibly grateful to them."

Locked Down is coming soon to cinemas in the UK, while it is set to launch on January 14 on HBO Max in the US.
