Arish Ali’s Post

Can I be a founder? As someone who has spent 22 years with startups, as a successful founder myself and working closely with many others, I have been asked this question by everyone from high school students to senior executives contemplating their first entrepreneurial journey. My short answer to this is, yes, you can, provided you have these three qualities -  1. Fearlessness / Appetite for risk 2. Passion / Conviction which can't be faked  3. Execution / Ability to get things done Each of the above does require a little bit more explanation and examples, and I have provided that here -  https://lnkd.in/gb-cGVzh Let me know if you agree with these three qualities? Or do you have any other questions or doubts about being a founder? I'll be happy to answer. #Swellcast #AskAFounder

Arish. I like the way you have laid these out and given clear concise information. Each of these areas carries a different persorecitive and back story for those who have been there and may still be “in it”. Anything I might add would simply include: A. 100% perserveremce (absolute unwillingness to quit). Vision only works with action. Take it. B. Pivot when needed but never, ever compromise your values. Count on your trusted sources and support but in the end, you are the caretaker of your vision. Pick a good one. Ha C. Maintain unshakable faith. Whatever your personal form of faith is, trust it, recognize it and humble yourself to it. Even the greatest leaders do not get there on their own.
