Welcome to the first episode of what am I Doing With My Life? I'm so excited that this project is finally kicking off, and I couldn't think of a better person to start it with. Our guest today is Alexiarida, and I have about a million questions for her, but I will let her introduce herself by way of the question. Alexia, what are you doing with your life?

First episode! 💫💫💫 #whatamidoingwithmylife #withro

But I would say I am trying to be honest with my life purpose and little by little creating my mission and trying to figure things out while I try my best not only towards me, but towards the world and the opportunities that I can create around me to others. So that's basically what I'm doing and learning. I would say that the main thing that I'm doing around my project is learning how to deal with emotions not only mine, but others

Hi, Alexia. Yes, absolutely. That answers my question, and I think in a really beautiful way. I really like that your answer sits in, like, a very emotional space that you're kind of talking about, like, almost the more abstract part of what you do, because I know that you do a lot in your life. And I'd love to now move into some sort of a more specific space

So this is a place where a lot of things are needed. We barely have anything around except people and nature. And I thought that there was a good opportunity to not depend on the external, but try to build up internal solutions to live better and to make our life together better. So Kanimbo is that for anyone that doesn't know Shangana, this is the Mozambican dialect that we have here. Kanimbo means thank you

I would love to know how you realize that that was your calling and how that all started for you. Um, you know, how Kanimbe came about or how you came into the idea that that this was what you were going to do with your life

Listen to your thoughts... and let yourself be guided

If I might say it this way. Since kindergarten, since kindergarten I was always fighting for justice. And after kindergarten I remember just university. And it was the same saying hey, I have opportunity to become the professional work I want to be. This is going to be so good for me. But it can't be only for me, it's also for others. So I've always acknowledged that whatever I feel is good for me is much better when I share it with others

And I love what you're saying about how it wasn't one day that you realized it was your purpose, but that it's kind of like this electrical current in your life every day. Because, I don't know, maybe I just think about it a bit too much, and I need to just let myself be guided a little bit by those things that feel like, totally right

I also wanted to add that I think it's really beautiful how you said that about your power, how it almost, like, kind of overflows out of you. It needs to involve other people. I think that's really beautiful, and it's not something you hear a lot, but it's awesome to hear you acknowledge it and share it with us here. I also wanted to ask something about that

Follow your intuition. It always works for you

I think you said the word. I think you said the word that is lightning around here. Trust. I really trust my intuition and how I feel. It's what I recommend you and I would love you to do. So this is how it goes. You don't do crazy things and follow your intuition. You do what makes you feel good. And that's what you need to trust. And we have to stop judging if it's crazy or not

@r.o choose the right team

So when you have that kind of responsibility, just to use the same word, you need to also choose the right people next to you. And that just lifts you in a way that makes it much easier. Right. I don't know if this resonates with you, but that's the way I have dealt with the pressure that this means to me

I love this piece of advice, and maybe if I was in a different moment of my life, I would think it's like a bit like, of course, yeah, okay, yeah, follow intuition, whatever, whatever

#wecomefromlove

That has shaped me very much as a mother too. Because I have not only one reference, but two, or maybe even more, because I am learning from others and I admire so much other women that I take it from them and I try to build up the woman I am, the mother I am especially for my girls. And I try to do it right

But, I mean, as long as you want to be here. I'll keep asking you questions, I guess, on this topic as well. Now that we're talking about motherhood and parenting, I'd love to pick your brain a little bit about that. You said that it kind of started your consciousness journey and I can imagine that it's maybe a lot to be on that journey and be taking care of your kids and have responsibility over that, but I'm not sure
