Self-awareness is a top #leadership trait. Agility, enthusiasm, and calmness are crucial human skills we seek. There are ways to progressively practice and become better at these. Read on. 1. I engage in sky watching daily. Too many clouds, just a couple of them or none at all. Nature’s imperfections teach me something new all the time. 2. Months ago, a lot was going on at my work and home, when I suddenly fell ill with a high temperature. After three days of rest and medication, my ability to deal with what I had to work on, improved remarkably, with exceptional mental clarity. 3. Today, tuning my veena (a string instrument) revealed a moment of wonder. Previously discordant, the strings produced beautiful music when tuned harmoniously. Reflecting on these incidents, I realized that the human #mind is naturally chaotic, just like the clouds, busy times, or untuned strings. Yet, through #meditation, #journaling, and #mindfulness, we can calm down and dissolve unnecessary thoughts. Initially, sitting still may evoke a whirlwind of thoughts, similar to that of a dusty road. But with practice, the #mind settles, thoughts diminish, and self-awareness flourishes. Our capacity to remain calm amidst chaos and make detached decisions becomes heightened. Have you started your practice yet? #selfawareness
You reminded me of famous saying mind can make hell or heaven out of someone's life it depends on an individual thanks for sharing your experience of calming the mind
Great post. I practice cloud watching too and several times, I have been able to decipher patterns and solutions to break repetitive events. Gratitude journalling is my opportunity magnet and this practice has made me appreciate my blessings better.
Yes. without meditation, i would be like an oarless boat adrift at sea....beautiful post.
I can totally vouch on the journaling piece - especially gratitude. When I started journaling, Mind started spotting chances to be thankful in day to day interactions. Thanks for a good write up!
