It’s fascinating and frustrating that it seems nearly impossible to avoid a construction project, big or small in the Big Apple. Jackhammers are unfortunately essential contributors to the city’s soundtrack and cranes the size of Japanese film monsters often dot our skyline. Centuries after the Dutch first colonized this land, New York is a well and long time established global capital, but still a work in progress.

From gentrification to rehabilitation the city is consistently in a state of development. There’s a sense of timelessness in many of our streets and neighborhoods but workers are always on the clock to build more. They say the city never sleeps, and how could you with so much construction going on?
