If numbers hit you hard, read my story of mathematics! This is a story of how I progressed from a low score of 1.5 out of 40 marks in my first unit test to scoring 88 out of 100 marks in my class 10 boards. How embarrassing it felt when I scored such and the journey from that had been a learning experience with faith, persistence, and hard smart work. In this blogpost, I am sharing with you the growth hack of how I succeeded in my trials and scored over my fear of mathematics!

When It Hits a low

Throughout my school days, I had scored high on other subjects but with mathematics, my equation derailed as I went on to higher classes. Somehow without proper guidance and fear of the subject, I scored not such good marks. But it was annoying to score 1.5 out of 40 marks when I was in class 10. It was my first unit test and the sooner the time would arrive for boards. I was worried and felt frustrated enough.

Reflecting on the Setback

Overcoming the initial jerks, how my mind got inspired to think over the matter-

· I told myself this is done and I cannot erase the very fact.

· My Maths tutor who was our school’s science teacher as well when asked about my marks I feared getting thrashed by him but instead he inspired me to work hard and it motivated me.

· Cricket inspired me always, I have been a cricket enthusiast since childhood and this game taught me to believe it’s just like a match and not a series, the boards are the final, so focus on it.

· And I put believe that it’s just a day’s performance and not of life to depend on it

· I got motivated to think what can I do now is what matters the most

Doing What You Can Do Matters

And I did these rightful stuffs.

· I worked hard

· I worked smart

· I worked on my concept

· I kept solving my doubts

· Kept practicing

· Dedicated more time to it all

And all these I followed diligently till I had given my class 10th board examination.

It’s in All What You Believe!

It didn’t hit boundaries and over boundaries, I had to keep the scoreboard ticking and run between the wickets, I mean taking inspiration from cricket I learned it’s about consistency that improves your performance. Some of the low, and high points that stabilized my mind game for the finals are:

· In the 2nd and 3rd unit test my scores improved

· But at the half-yearly examination it hit again lower scores which got my percentage down. But I didn’t get disheartened.

· I improved again in 4th and 5th unit test scores

· I suffered setbacks in score of Mathematics again at pre-boards from school

· I improved in selection tests from boards

· With the roller coaster rides, I believed I had the ability to be my best version to score high in mathematics

· I believe that I am bigger than my fear in mathematics and I can improve my scorecard.

Some of the inspiring quotes you can read about how the power of mind matters over anything

From Seeds to Fructification

During the board preparations, I did the net practice:

· I made my study regime in a way that I dedicate more time to mathematics yet balance other subjects well.

· I Practised and kept improving, tried from easier to toughest of problems

· Solved all the test papers

· Tried all the questions taught in schools, books, and tuition

· Tried practicing keeping track of time

· Practised, revised, and repeated

Finally D-day made and most of the questions I found common, and easy to solve. The paper came good enough, fortune favoured as well. I still remember I knew two marks were wrong, two marks I could attempt yet I thought around marks in the 90s house.

I scored 88 out of 100 marks on my 10th boards. Initially, it didn’t feel good enough for I expected more marks but gradually I felt calm retracing my journey of success through failure.

Mind Manifests the Matter

Finally, I beat the fear of mathematics with faith, persistence, and hard to smart work. This lesson of failure and success was more of a journey through the trial of fear over the triumph of faith. This learning has been inscribed in my mind and I reminisce over its teaching from time to time in life. If you win over your mind the matters manifest accordingly this is what I learned in real time.

If I can achieve the desired matter minding over it with rightful faith and sincere actions, you too can do the same be it for any numbers or scores in life. Just keep your mind on the matter! How does my story of this triumph over trial score over your inspiration?
