Andrea, you & A.G. are spot-on about the need for political will. True, we need political will for a livable world. But politicians don't create political will. THEY RESPOND TO IT. This brings us to a dilemma: We're suffering a crisis of civic disengagement at a time when political advocacy is crucial. This is understood by most who've dedicated time in this space to grasp this reality. Yet, MANY in the environmental world don't even show up to vote. George Monbiot, who echoes (quite fervently) a sentiment I've been pushing for several years; making a distinction between "solutions" (which we have no shortage of) and the need to exert pressure on our political decision-makers to #FixTheRules.
