it was amazing

Is this is easiest book to read given how it is written? No.
The writing style is... something. ::shrugs::
I am of the opinion that it is a reader's job to extract value from a book so let's just ignore the writing style.

Adlerian psychology is made accessible in this book. I personally gained a lot of value in the space of judgement. I generally tend to be incredibly salty about bad judgement and incredulously thirsty about good judgement. ::sighs:: I knew how problematic the bad judgement stuff is but I never considered the good judgement thing. ::sighs again::

I also deal with anger issues and when this book said, "We fabricate anger to impose control over a situation," I just realised how shitty and selfish my anger issues are. Whether the anger is justified or not - it doesn't matter. The righteous indignation bursts into flames and from the ashes rose this need to be less selfish moving forward.

I feel like this book helped me a lot, at least on a short-term basis. Let's see how much it helps me as time does its thing.
The book also made me curious to check out Adlerian Psychology so I am going to check it out as well.

For me, as annoying as this book was, it helped me. That's 5 stars right there.

Quotes Binati Liked

“I have a young friend who dreams of becoming a novelist, but he never seems to be able to complete his work. According to him, his job keeps him too busy, and he can never find enough time to write novels, and that's why he can't complete work and enter it for writing awards. But is that the real reason? No! It's actually that he wants to leave the possibility of "I can do it if I try" open, by not committing to anything. He doesn't want to expose his work to criticism, and he certainly doesn't want to face the reality that he might produce an inferior piece of writing and face rejection. He wants to live inside that realm of possibilities, where he can say that he could do it if he only had the time, or that he could write if he just had the proper environment, and that he really does have the talent for it. In another five or ten years, he will probably start using another excuses like "I'm not young anymore" or "I've got a family to think about now”
